About the Director

Aisha Porter-Christie was born in Kingston, Jamaica. At age 17, she moved to Toronto to pursue her BA at Ryerson University’s School of Radio and Television and was later featured in Playback Magazine as one of Canada’s “Top Ten New Grads to Watch”. After working in various capacities with companies such as E1 Entertainment, the Planet in Focus Film Festival, and Hot Docs, Aisha relocated to New York City to pursue her MFA at Columbia University’s School of the Arts. In 2012, she won the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Internship in Television Writing and is currently a writer’s assistant on the Syfy Network’s trans-media series Defiance.

About the Producer

Zenas Cao is a young, Asian-American filmmaker who’s spent half his life in California and the other half in New York. Having studied business and finance in college, he decided to pursue a different career path that allowed him to combine his work with his passion. As a writer-producer, Zenas is constantly looking for new and intriguing material to develop into a compelling narrative that can be told through film. With a wide range of experience from film sets and production companies, Zenas is a thoroughly hands-on filmmaker who remains intimately involved with every stage of the filmmaking process.
