About the Writer/Director

Javier Loarte received a BA in Psychology from UAM and worked at a rehabilitation center prior to making the jump into filmmaking. Since then, his films have screened in more than 100 lm festivals and contemporary art museums such as the Pompidou Centre in Paris. After participating in the Berlinale Talent Campus, Loarte was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study at Columbia University. He recently completed the script Before Elvis, which he intends to make his debut feature film.
