About the Writer/Director

Robert Herzog is from a small town near Rochester, in upstate New York. Aside from brief residences in Boston and Egypt, he has lived in New York City since college, where he pursues a career as a filmmaker. He expects to complete his MFA in Directing at Columbia University School of the Arts this year.

About the Writer

Thomas Mentel is a New York-based filmmaker born and raised in Los Angeles. After graduating from U.C. Berkeley, he moved back to L.A. and worked for several years at the post-house Chainsaw before deciding to pursue an MFA in Film at Columbia University. In addition to writing and directing, he has also served as cinematographer for various short films that have screened at festivals nationwide.

About the Producer

Born and raised in Colorado, Sam Mariotti graduated from St. Olaf College where she studied English Literature and concentrated in Film. Under the screenwriting tutelage of Ali Selim (Sweet Land), she wrote and produced several award-winning comedic short films. She is pursuing her MFA in Creative Producing at Columbia University and is the recipient of the 2015 Arthur Krim Memorial Award for Excellence in Producing.
