About the Writer/Director

Dea Kulumbegashvili was born and raised in Georgia. Dea studied film directing at Columbia University School of the Arts and media studies at The New School in New York. Her debut short film, Invisible Spaces, was nominated for the Palme d’or at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2014. Her second film, Léthé, premiered at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival in the Quinzaine des réalisateurs (Directors fortnight) section.

About the Producer

Ilan Amouyal is a French film producer based in Paris and New York. After obtaining degrees from Brandeis and Harvard University, Ilan pursued an MFA degree at Columbia University. He also attended the Atelier at La Femis. In 2015, Ilan opened a production company, First Picture. He produced the winning entry of HBO’s Project Greenlight and associate produced a feature film starring Gérard Depardieu. His latest endeavor Léthé premiered at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival in the Directors Fortnight selection. The film went on to play at International Film Festival Rotterdam & MoMA’s New Directors / New Films.
