About the Writer/Director
Shayon Maitra is a director in Columbia University’s MFA Film Program. He also holds a BA in Economics from The University of Chicago. Prior to Columbia, Shayon lived in the world of finance though his real passion has always been cinema. Shayon is also an accomplished musician, performing Rabindrasangeet (Bengali songs of poet, Rabindranath Tagore) in concerts and on television, across Britain and India.
About the Producer
Nayantara Roy is an MFA candidate in the Creative Producing program at Columbia University School of the Arts, where she is a recipient of the Katharina Otto-Bernstein Grant and the Arthur Krim Memorial Award. She is a former journalist and a published playwright.
