About the Writer/Director

Charlie is a Trinidadian-born award-winning filmmaker from Mohkinstsis / Calgary on Treaty 7 territory, Canada. Charlie's work often focuses on themes of misfits, outcasts, chosen families and unconventional intimacy. Previous work includes co-writing the relationship dramedy One Night in Aberdeen - available on shortoftheweek.com, writing teen heist caper Operation: Clean Slate, and directing Sonder, a noir drama.

About the Producer

Sharon Mayo is a filmmaker with a background in improvisational comedy and end to end post production. She was a recipient of the Martin Scorsese Trustee Scholarship at NYU Tisch, as well as the Arthur Krim Memorial Fellowship for Excellence in Producing at Columbia University. Sharon’s projects highlight stories that question the status quo, examines societal rules and champions outsiders.
