About the Writer/Director

Murdo Barker-Mill is a British filmmaker and recent graduate of Columbia University’s MFA in Directing. Before filmmaking, Murdo trained in medicine and psychology, a foundation that informs his understanding of character, story, and the tensions at the heart of human drama. As a cinematographer, his work has screened at SXSW, Aspen Shortsfest, and the San Francisco International Film Festival.

About the Producer

Yu-Han Tsai is a Taiwanese writer, director, and editor based in New York, and a recent graduate of Columbia’s MFA program in Directing. Her latest short film, Dua Ji, premiered in competition at SXSW 2026. Yu-Han’s work is grounded in realism and shaped by a feminist perspective, exploring how Taiwanese culture and society inform the intimate, everyday experiences of women.
