About the Writer/Director
Derin Çelik is a writer/director from Turkey based in Los Angeles. He recently received his MFA from Columbia School of the Arts, where he won the Lewis Cole Memorial Award for Excellence and the 2024 Alfred P. Sloan Screenwriting Grant for his pilot Salton Sea. He works as a freelance director/photographer and served previously as assistant adjunct faculty teaching screenwriting at Columbia University.
About the Producer
Sharvari Bhat is a Columbia University graduate with an MFA in Creative Producing. She has produced short films supported by Panavision, NY Women's Fund, The Film Collaborative, and The Gotham Film Institute. After graduating, Sharvari worked at Piro, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and the Video Art & Experimental Film Festival. Sharvari is now working as an Executive & Talent Services Assistant in Los Angeles.
