About the Writer/Director

Rick Weiyi Kong is a director and screenwriter who graduated from the MFA Directing program at Columbia University in New York. As a Queer Director from China, his directing credits span a variety of genres, including traditional narrative, comedy, and mockumentary. His work often focuses on the complex relationships of people in the real world and the rich, multi-layered emotions within, reflecting social phenomena and exploring profound themes.
