About the Writer/Director
Apa Agbayani is a Filipino writer-director based in New York. He started out directing music videos then found his way to the magic of narrative cinema, with shorts that played at NewFest, Outfest, QCinema and Queer East. Apa was one of the recipients of NewFest’s New Voices Filmmaker Grant in 2024 and is in development for his debut feature.
About the Producer
Fernando Morett is a Creative Executive at Double Nickel Entertainment, the company behind Gran Torino and The Burial, where he works across development, financing, production, and distribution. He recently co-produced the BAFTA-longlisted feature Grow, starring Golda Rosheuvel and Nick Frost. During his time at Columbia, he produced several short films that screened at festivals including NewFest and ShortsMexico.
