About the Writer/Director
Eva Vidan is a Croatian-American director, designer, and photographer based in New York. A recent Talents Sarajevo alum and Miloš Forman MFA Directing Fellow at Columbia University, Eva has worked in both film and design in the U.S. and Europe. Vidan's directorial debut, "Plima," won Best Short Film at Trieste Film Festival 2023 and screened at several festivals across Europe, including Oscar-qualifying Vienna Shorts, goEast Film Festival, and Moving Images Open Borders (MIOB) at Cottbus Film Festival. Vidan's second short, "Tiha," premiered at Trieste Film Festival and SEEfest Los Angeles.
About the Producer
Helēna Šania Volbeta is a Latvian filmmaker based in NYC. Šania recently graduated from the MFA Creative Producing program at Columbia University. Prior to receiving her MFA she studied at the University of Warwick, earning a BSc Management Honors degree, and volunteered with different charities in Colombia, Brazil and South Africa. Over the past year, she has worked on the feature film "Goodboy" (Leonberg, 2025) that had its world premiere at SXSW 2025 and co-produced Matiss Kaza’s (2024 Academy Award winner for "Flow") upcoming feature "I Love You Lex."
