About the Writer/Director

Kai Wen Hu is a Taiwanese-American writer and director whose work examines the contradictions and ironies of social class through a blend of dark humor and biting realism. A former finance professional turned filmmaker, he brings a sharp eye for structural inequities and stories that are as socially incisive as they are emotionally resonant.

About the Producer

Shuyin Zheng is a film writer/director, playwright, and actress who grew up in southwestern China. Columbia’s MFA program combined with her four-year theater study and work experience has given Shuyin multiple perspectives on storytelling. She works to capture the story that inspires people to rethink existing life moments.
